Restore Joplin's mission is to get real money, to real people, with real needs in Joplin, Missouri as quickly as possible.
Started in the wake of the May 22, 2011 EF5 tornado, Restore has turned into a widely accepted channel for helping the Joplin community. With a significant amount of the proceeds from the sale of each shirt going immediately into the hands of people in Joplin, it's easy get behind the concept and jump on board. Joplin needs financial investment. Even the screen printers we are using are locally based, so the cost factors into helping Restore Joplin.
Businesses, organizations, individuals are even stepping up, buying shirts as "uniforms". While completely unexpected, we believe is becoming a really incredible way for the community to show unity.
The next step is to expand our product offerings. We desire to keep the quality of the art we feature to be very high. We are sourcing some of Joplin's best designers for "featured artist" shirts. Expect to see this part of the Site grow significantly as time passes.
We plan on being here for Joplin for the long haul. The need for steady revenue streams flowing into the local economy here is not just immediate, it needs to be here for years to come. We believe offering relavant products, like really sweet t-shirts, is a great way to sustain this.
